📦 Orders & Shipping
How long does shipping take? Orders in the UK typically arrive within 1-2 business days, the EU within 3-6 business days, the US within 2-5 business days, and Canada within 5-10 business days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays or customs processing. Please see our Shipping Policy page for more information.
Do you ship internationally? Yes! We currently ship to the US, Canada, the UK and the EU. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.
Why are the shipping prices higher than other online stores? Shipping costs are calculated by weight and size, and each battlemap book measures 17x11inch (43x28cm) when closed, and weighs in at 3.8lbs (1.75kg). These are larger and heavier than your average hardback TTRPG rulebook + dice set, but we believe the extra size and material quality is more than worth it.
Can I track my order? Yes, you'll receive a tracking link by email once your order has been dispatched.
My order is missing/late. Please contact us and we'll follow up with the carrier to track down your parcel.

What size are the battlemaps? All of our battlemap books are 22x17inch spread, and the XL maps are 22x34inch unfolded. The map books are 17x11inch when closed, and the Deluxe Volume boxes measure 17.6x12.6x2.2inch. All measurements and weights are available on every product page.
Are the maps compatible with standard miniature scales? Yes, all Tom Cartos battlemaps are designed to the standard 1 inch / grid square = 5 feet scale, compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and most tabletop RPG systems.
Do the battlemaps come with/without grids? All of the battlemap books are printed with 1 inch square grids. Digital variants come with and without grids, so hex and other grid variants can be applied if needed.
Do the maps lie flat? The battlemap books are spiral-bound and the maps will lie perfectly flat on your gaming table. You won’t have to keep track of any loose sheets flying about, and the spirals are as small as possible so they won’t get in the way of placing minis or props.
Can I mix & match which books come in the deluxe boxes? No, the deluxe volume boxes are pre-packaged based on their specific theme, and the included GM screen features rollable encounters for the specific books within that volume. However, you can select additional battlemap books and accessories if you wish.
Which map books come in which box?
- Volume 1 - Overworld: Forests & Villages, Deserts & Jungles, and Mountains & Oceans.
- Volume 2 - Underworld: Caves & Caverns, Dungeons & Crypts, and Swamps & Ruins.
- Volume 3 - Urban: Castles & Keeps, Towns & Cities, and Traders & Dwellings.
- Volume 4 - Extraplanar: Fire & Ice, Earth & Sky, and Fey & Fell.
How are the stickers 're-usable?' The stickers are strong and use static cling technology instead of adhesive, so they can easily be peeled off the laminated book pages and replaced without damage to either the book or the sticker.
Are the maps dry/wet-erase compatible? Yes, all of our battlemaps are dry and wet-erase compatible. However we recommend using dry-erase markers only as wet-erase may damage the print quality with extensive use.

Are digital versions available? Please check individual product listings — some products include or offer digital editions.
💳 Payments & Pricing
What currencies do you accept? For our customers in North America, prices are displayed in USD. In Europe, prices are displayed in GBP, EUR or your local currency at checkout. We accept all major credit/debit cards, PayPal and Shop Pay.
Are prices inclusive of VAT? All prices include VAT where applicable. UK and EU customers will see VAT included in the price. Customers outside these regions are not charged additional taxes at checkout.
🔄 Returns & Refunds
What is your returns policy? We accept returns on unopened items within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us before returning any item.
My order arrived damaged — what do I do? We're sorry to hear that! Contact us via the Contact page with a photo of the damage and your order number, and we'll make it right.
